Island View is a superb holiday house in the pretty East Neuk village of Anstruther. As its name implies, it has fantastic sea views of the Isle of May and Bass Rock, and over the Firth of Forth. The house itself is a B listed historical building and has high ceilings, which gives a feeling of great space. The house has been carefully restored and the original features have been retained, such as shutters on the windows. There are spectacular sea views from the large lounge, the kitchen and both bedrooms. The new large contemporary kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, freezer, oven, hob, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine/tumble drier and has generous preparation areas. The dining room is situated next to the kitchen. There are two large bedrooms, both with fabulous sea views. One bedroom has a king-sized bed and the second is a family room, which can sleep up to three. There are two luxurious bathrooms. These are newly renovated and include both luxury baths and showers. This holiday house also has a courtyard where you can sit and relax, watching the ever-changing sea. Ideal for families or groups of friends who wish to explore St Andrews and the picturesque villages of Crail, Pittenweem, Elie, Anstruther, and St Monans. The East Neuk is family friendly with award winning sandy beaches, world class golf courses, the Fife Coastal Path, the Millenium Cycle Way, water sports and many other activities. This area is a real hotspot for arts, crafts, and antiques. There are also a wonderful selection of high quality seafood restaurants and quaint pubs. We would recommend exploring the Scottish Deer Centre, St Andrews Castle, The British Golf Museum and Aquarium at St Andrews, The Scottish Fisheries Museum at Anstruther, The Crail Heritage Museum, The Fife Folk Museum, The Secret Bunker, Crail Pottery, Falkland Palace, Kellie Castle and Gardens, and Craigtoun Country Park. Visit across the Forth Bridges to see a range of sights such as Edinburgh Castle, the Palace of Holyroodhouse, Dynamic Earth and the Royal Yacht Britannia, or just to spend time at the Edinburgh International Festival and explore the shops around Princes Street.
